On the windows 7 laptop
------------------------
Browser service was already activated.
Wins server adress was already set to linux server.

microsoft browstat.exe :
1°) crash before ending.
2°) show another laptop as master browser ( linux / domain : workgroup )

The windows 7 laptop respond only for 1 type of request from linux server :

microsoft browstat.exe :

The windows 7 laptop respond only for 1 type of request from linux server :

nmblookup HATHOR#1E
added interface eth0 ip=192.168.xxx.xxx bcast=192.168.xxx.255
                                                     netmask=255.255.255.0
Socket opened.
querying MYPDC on 192.168.xxx.255
Got a positive name query response from 192.168.xxx.zzz ( 192.168.xxx.zzz )
Got a positive name query response from 192.168.xxx.aaa ( 192.168.xxx.aaa )
Got a positive name query response from 192.168.xxx.aaa ( 192.168.xxx.aaa )
192.168.xxx.zzz MYPDC<1e>
192.168.xxx.aaa MYPDC<1e>
192.168.xxx.aaa MYPDC<1e>

More surprising :
I try to join the windows 7 laptop to domain ( the linux server ) ==> SUCCESS

Now microsoft browstat.exe :
1°) crash before ending.
2°) show the linux server as master browser ( linux / domain : MYPDC )

Any idea to make win 7 talking samba ?

thank you for your time.
