can't open smb.conf

Hi
Can anyone tell me why ?
I modify the Makefile and  make install samb:

 -DNMBLOGFILE="/mnt/work/home/samba/var/log.nmb" 

-DCONFIGFILE="/mnt/work/home/samba/lib/smb.conf"  <<<-------------------------

 -DLMHOSTSFILE="/mnt/work/home/samba/lib/lmhosts" 
-DLOCKDIR="/mnt/work/home/samba/var/locks"
 -DSMBRUN="/mnt/work/home/samba/bin/smbrun"
 -DWORKGROUP="IMPKTH" -DGUEST_ACCOUNT="guest" -DSUNOS5 -DSHADOW_PWD -DNETGROUP -DFAST_SHARE_MODES        
Using LIBS =  -lsocket -lnsl    
Installing smbd as /mnt/work/home/samba/bin/smbd
Installing nmbd as /mnt/work/home/samba/bin/nmbd

and put smb.conf in /mnt/work/home/samba/lib/   
then run testparm  and get the message:

Fnatte% testparm
Load smb config files from /usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf
Unable to open configuration file "/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf"!
pm_process retuned false
Error loading services.

The config file path is not on  -DCONFIGFILE which I set in Makefile

What is the problem ?  I use SUN Soliaris 2.5
