TDB on OpenBSD problem.

Andrew,

To help here, my OpenBSD machines used to spawn just shy of 10 processes
when it was exhibiting the growing TDB file problem. I never fully counted
the processes, but i am almost certain it was 8 given the new evidence.
For more information, these threads would not die when the parent did. 
These seem to be directly related issues..... Although the code 
has not exhibited a problem on OBSD within the last 3 days with vigerous 
testing due to the second patch by Jeremy, it seems this is another 
portability issue.

Hopefully, this should shed some light on the situation.
