Strangely enough, the ANU Staff & Student Wireless network runs limited
hours too.  From wireless.anu.edu.au:

The ANU wireless network is available for use between 6am and midnight,
7 days a week.
Access to the wirless network in public areas outside of these hours is
restricted due to personal safety and security requirements.

"Personal safety requirements"?  Hmm....
