Hai,
If i may give a suggestion here.
How about a setting that uses a certain set of settings.
Something like:
authsetup = modern ( which reflex only latest settings, and not NTLMv1/v2 + smb2/3 )
authsetup = compatible ( which reflex compatible settings, and with NTLMv2 + smb2/3 )
Authsetup = insecure ( which reflex old settings, and with NTLMv1 + smb1 )
In a "set config" you can put changes like :
+ ntlm auth New value ntlmv2-only
In the long run this wil help users because user dont have to change there smb.conf
With helps upgrade with distro package, because not lots of thes fail due to for example.
A correct 4.5.x smb.conf but which is incorrect in 4.6.x.
