This is really driving me crazy:
- POSIX ACLs seems to me best supported among various Linuxes, despite the fact there is no official RFC covering them
- NFSv4 acls are richer, better but poorly supported
- everyone seems to wait for rich-ACL (which should cover them all) support which development has stalled

So now we are in a state of flux.... if one wants to use ACLs on linux, it is very hard to decide which one
