Hi Matthias, hi everyone
Mmm. I see. Is that about when we delete anyone from the directory?
having to run
samba-tool dbcheck --fix when we delete anyone from what I think is
called 'The Directory'? Or is that called 'Active directory' Or is it
called Samba4 Active Directory?
What do I say to someone who is not an English speaker? Do we have a
collective term for saying 'the directory is what stores your stuff and
knows who you are when you login'? Ah, but Kerberos also looks after
that and oh BTW we have dns in there too...
It becomes difficult to translate something that Andrew and Andrew call
'The Directory' into something that makes sense anywhere outside this list.
To narrow it down a bit, I was asked by a point and click windows admin
user _where_ is the directory. The best I could do was show her
ldbsearch on our Linux test box
Would it be ok to forward a copy of this over to the samba list too?
Cheers and thanks for answering,
Steve
