can I define "static" interfaces in source/lib/interfaces.c?

BTW, I don't seem to have to change config.h anymore with Samba 3.0.21b 
(#define USE_SETEUID 1 / #define USE_SETRESUID 1 problem), which I had 
to do with 3.0.21a.
Or maybe I didn't test enough.
