Till gdb is fixed I'll disable PIE support if we configure with
--enable-developer.  Do you think this is a usefull workaround?

I also created a proxy bug report at bugzilla.Novell.com #139573.

Thanks for analysis.  I'll hope we have this fixed for the 10.1 release
and I keep you informed.
