Possible to set printer devmode using samba3-python?

Well, that's part of the problem: right now the setprinter stuff doesn't
work for me yet.  The "printer accessories" using PrinterData works
though.  See attached script, which copies the printer accessories from
one printer share to another share on the same host.  This effectively
copies the installed "accessories" settings.  This is just my test
script, not robust at all: basically me messing around with something I
have little doc for to figure out how to use it.

What I'm sending works for me with python 2.2.1, with the samba helpers
installed (samba 3.0.1pre2) on linux (SLES 8 s/390).
