nmbd status in SWAT is wrong

We have installed Samba 2.2.3a on a Sun Solaris 5.7
when we start the nmbd daemon, his status is "Not Running" in SWAT
but we can see that he's running doing a ps -ef |grep nmbd.
In this situation, we cannot access the Unix server from Neiberhood Network
on a Windows PC.
What do SWAT need to consider that the daemon is running ?
Are these 2 problems linked ?
We have no problems with the smbd daemon.
