Log indicates logon errors, but no logon errors exist!

Would anyone be familiar with the following error messages being
received even though there are _no_ client-end visible problems with
logging in?  This occurs quite frequently, and seems to be a
contradiction from rpc_server/srv_netlog.c:

	smbd[3514]: api_net_sam_logon: Failed to marshall
NET_R_SAM_LOGON.  
	smbd[3514]: api_rpcTNP: api_netlog_rpc: NET_SAMLOGON failed.  

Again, no one is having problems logging in (!).  Ideas?
