Hi
Do you ever get the feeling that things are starting to go over your head -
well I am getting that feeling now. Anyhow in for a penny, in for a pound.
Downloaded from cvs using
cvs -d :pserver:cvs at samba.org:/cvsroot co -r SAMBA_2_2 samba
after loging on of course. is that right?
Configure - make - make install. over my 2.2.3 version
restarted samba and win2k same thing happens share violation.
A couple of interesting points
1. I can rename a html file when that is being previewed. I can even rename
that in the folder when the file is open.
2. Still cannot rename the mpg file though and cannot rename the same file
when it is open and playing - same error message share violation
Should i be able to rename the mpg file by right clicking on the folder
share\filename when it is actually playing in windows media player?
3. Pie chart in samba share is empty Capacity is 27.9 Used = 0 Free = 27.9
In fact capacity = 30 Gig and about 3 is used. It gets that wrong in all
samba shares.

Hope that helps
David Mulcahy
I do hope i am not wasting your time and just doing something incredibly
stupid. I will set up a test with another win2k box just to check tomorrow.
