Hi everybody,
I'm fighting with the following Problem since a few days:
I haveing a binaryfile, mounted on a Linux-Box as smbfs-client to a Win2000-Server-Share.
I could read and write to that file on my local mountpoint.
But if the Server writes into that file, I'm at least able to see this changes on server-side after remounting that share again.
My local Changes ont the mountpoint are sightable at the moment i did them (with khexedit) .
A
mount -tsmbfs -ousername=XX,workgroup=XXX,fmask=777,dmask=777,sync,rw
//WIN200/files /home/mn/files
doesn't work, nevertheless with "sync".
Even a sync(); or a fsync(fileno((FILE*)hFile));
doesn't help.
It seems, that there is a buffer between that mountpoit and the shared file, which ist earliest updatet after my remount.
Infos:
Linux: SuSE 7.0
uname -r : 2.2.16-SMP
smbclnt-2.0.7-49
samba-2.0.7-49
autofs-4.0.0pre7-33
Any suggestions?
Thank you a lot in advance
Greetings
Markus
