Hi,
I have defined samba server 2.0.7 on HP server running HP-UX 10.20.
I choose to use my NT PDC as password server.
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from localhost (127.0.0.1)
# Date: 2000/01/03 16:47:02
# Global parameters
workgroup = samba_server
netbios name = samba_server
server string = samba_server
log file = /opt/samba/var/log.%m
log level = 1
max log size = 50
security = server
password server = PDC_NT_Server
socket options = TCP_NODELAY
local master = yes
os level = 31
wins server = 111.11.11.111
dns proxy = no
username map = /opt/samba/lib/users.map
guest account = nobody
I want to define share:
[kit_free]
comment = Area di Pubblica di Installazione
path = /disc2/kit_free
read only = No
writeable = true
create mask = 0765
guest ok = Yes
guest account = root
My question is:
I want to connet share "kit_free" from NT 4.0 WS with UID root.
When try with NT user not defined in Unix passwd, Samba use root as
uid, instead if connect with NT user defined in Unix Samba use "NT
user" as UID.
It is possible to define a user list to connect share with same UID?
Samba version 2.0.7
