1. In SMBCLIENT, can the message text that says to type control-D to send
the message be made into an option in config.h?

In OpenVMS, the Control-Z character is what sends the message.

Of course if that message was loadable from smb.conf, then it could be
tailored to the site's native language.

2. Is there an easy way to  set up a parameter or a config.h option to
display process IDs in hexadecimal instead of decimal?  This would be in the
debug module and the smbstatus module.
