Samba 2.0 and Redhat 5.1

I've been running Redhat 5.1 for several months.
I've downloaded the newest version of Samba and am
going to try upgrading the Samba in my Redhat 5.1
installation.  Does anyone have any caveats or
suggestions for this process.
  I also have a full set of documentation which I
intend to use as a strong source of guidance.  Any
experience that someone has had with this process
would be very appreciated.
