samba / switch hub /win9x

My guess it is because your switch is filtering the NT broadcasts.  Do you
have VLANS setup?

I  have a FreeBSD box with samba that works well when the FreeBSDBOX and
all the win9x boxes are on the same hub.
The problem is when i put a switch_hub between the FreeBSDbox and the
win9x boxes. Win98  can see the samba server but they reject the
passwords when we try to mount the remote unix drive.
With NT worksation boxes everything works fine!!
Any tip to solve this problem?
