Which is the home page for the orinoco drivers, so we try (mine's RHEL4)

So you could try 'modprobe orinoco' or 'modprobe orinoco_???.ko'

then type dmseg | tail and see if it says anything helpful.

Where it's alleged that knoppix supports this out of the box; in which
case you could get a copy of knoppix and see what driver it uses.
