I have problem lucent wireless lan card install in kernel 2.4.20

I want to use wireless tools v.24 on my linux kernel 2.4.20 notebook with lucent pcmcia wireless lan card.( my linux is radhat 7.2)


but  I have servel problems

first. I could install  pcmcia-cs-3.2.4 & wlli620 in kernel 2.4.18. kernel 2.4.19 , and connect access point successfully.
        in my notebook,  iwconfig could show access point information.     
        but only in kernel 2.4.20 ,  iwconfig show wrong  information
            example>     eth1      essid:off    access point:ff:8f:00:00:00:00.....
        of course access point's mac address is wrong, and my note book couldn't connect access point.
        I don't know why only in kernel 2.4.20 dosen't work?

second, I konw that wireless tools v.24  can be supported in kernel 2.4.20.
       and  i did "cp /usr/src/linux/include/linux/wireless.h /usr/include/linux 
        but iwconfig show ...
             warning : device eth1 has been compiled with version0 of wirellss extension , 
                 while we are using version 14. some thing may be broken

        I can't fix it, either.
