DWL650 disconnects every 5 minutes - possible solution

Thank you to those who responded.
Someone told me that the PC might have been too close to the router... and
this seemed to be the problem:
Originally the PC and the router were located within 4 feet. After I moved
the PC to another room, no interruptions...
Is there a minimal distance to respect ?
