Wireless Tool's iwlist HOW-TO

[Phongsak]

Hi

I have seen a new tool 'iwlist' which are used to get signal data from
nearby access points.  Anyone knows how to use it?
Basically, I tried it and the error says

"eth0      Interface doesn't have a list of Access Points"

Where is the list of APs stored?

I used Wireless Tools version 23, kernel 2.4.6, firmware Lucent version
7.28, Orinoco 0.06c.
