Hi,
I have suddenly started having trouble getting my
Cabletron Wireless card to wotk with my laptop running
Redhat linux. The card had been working fine till
yesterday, when I had backed up my
/etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts file in order to configure
my laptop with the wireless network at another place.
But when I tried going back to my original
wireless.opts file, it refuses to get configured with
the network at my workplace.
The card shows a single solid green light and I get
the following /var/log/messages entries when I pull
out and reinsert the card:
Mar 7 14:27:40 carolina cardmgr[439]: + sbin/dhcpcd
eth0 >/dev/null 2>&1
Mar 7 14:27:40 carolina cardmgr[439]: executing:
`./network stop eth0`
Mar 7 14:27:41 carolina cardmgr[439]: executing:
`modprobe -r hermes`
Mar 7 14:27:41 carolina cardmgr[439]: executing:
socket 0: Cabletron Roamabout 802.11 DS
Mar 7 14:27:41 carolina cardmgr[439]: executing:
`modprobe hermes`
Mar 7 14:27:41 carolina cardmgr[439]: executing:
`./network start eth0`
Mar 7 14:27:42 carolina kernel: eth0: Tx error, status
4 (FID=00BE)
All help is welcome,
Regards,
Abhijit.
