Orinoco/Redhat/IRQ help please

In working with computers for 20 years I have never been so frustrated.

It's been months that I'm trying to get this system working.

I'm running RedHat 7.2 on a desktop PC, with pcmcia-cs-3.1.33 compiled. I
did not recompile the kernel w/out pcmcia support because I don't know how
(and all the howto's out are of no help).

I've got a pci-pcmcia bridge (by Orinoco) and an Orinoco Gold card.

Using the Orinoco-09 drivers patched by snax.

The machine recognizes the Orinoco, but no good packets come through.

dmesg is filled with:

eth1: Null event in orinoco_interrupt!

/var/log/messages is filled with:

Jun 11 04:19:06 localhost kernel: eth1: Null event in orinoco_interrupt!
Jun 11 04:19:37 localhost last message repeated 64 times
Jun 11 04:20:38 localhost last message repeated 123 times

lsmod shows:

[root at localhost pcmcia]# lsmod

So, research leads me to believe that there's an IRQ conflict. So, I
excluded irq 11 from /etc/pcmcia/config.opts ("exclude irq 11"). Didn't
help.

What can I do -- help please!

Thanks,
