Zaurus Z5000D & Symbol Spectrum24 with new ROMs?

Has anyone been able to get the Symbol Spectrum24 drivers to work with 
the newest Sharp Zaurus Z5000D ROM (V1.38)?

I had it working with the previous version, but once I flashed, and 
rebuilt the config and driver objects, I get nothing. I insert the card 
and see it (via /sbin/cardctl ident). I restart pcmcia and/or reboot. No 
depmod errors, nothing in /var/log/messages. But the card isn't being 
enabled/running. HELP!
