Orinoco problem !

Dear all
I 'm using a wireless lan (Orinoco 11Mbps silver) which the driver is
wavelan2_cs on Linux Mandrake 8 (kernel 2.4.7-12.3mdk) 

I 'ld like to change some parameters of a wavelan, for example,
the retransmission rate in MAC ,Tx power and etc ,by the wireless tool
v.21. But I can not do such ,it showed that "SIOCSIWRETRY :Operation not
supported" 

Can anyone tell me how to change parameters on this wireless lan card  ?
