Need DWL-500/650 Help

I'm seem to be getting to the "bang my head against the wall" stage that a
lot of people get to with this card.

I'm using 2.4.14 with kernel PCMCIA disabled and wireless support enabled.
I installed:

pcmcia-cs-3.1.29
wireless_tools.21

I seem to have gotten the DWL-500 to work correctly. I added
PCIC_OPTS="irq_mode=0" to my pcmcia init file.

I edited /etc/pcmcia/config to load the orinoco_cs driver. I disabled
wireless.opts so that I could manually setup the card, and I put my network
settings in network.opts.

Whenever I insert the card, everything looks ok (I'm not at home to post my
log, but I can when I get home) until I get this line:

/etc/hotplug/net.agent: register event not handled

However, it looks like my network settings get put in correctly as eth2.

Then I try to set the wireless options with iwconfig. When I try to do
"iwconfig eth2 mode ad-hoc", the box locks up on me 9 out of 10 times. The
tenth time it will lock up when I try to ping an external address on the
wireless network. The box starts to work again when I eject the card.

Any ideas or any more info I can provide?

Thanks,
Ken
