yes there is a licensing cost for the software. It is the only one that I
know of that can turn an AP, or plain NIC into a repater though. Check out

But isn't the outdoor router an extra (as in additional cost) bit of
firmware?  Otherwise folk would just buy Orinoco AP1000s and flash them to
ROR, COR, etc.  Or am I missing some subtle trick here?
