question concerning smbpasswd

hi 
i have question concerning smbpasswd. i want to use this program within a
script, so i don`t want that the program prompts for a password. in the man
page is written that with the option -s one can stop prompting. but how do i
specifiy the password now? i have read somewhere that i have to use a pipe.
can anyone please show me an example.
