linux and windows file sizes don't match

Hi.  I have a weird problem:  when I view my samba share in windows, the
file sizes are not the same
as on the linux volume.  The file sizes in linux are correct and the
files are not corrupted in any way, they
just don't show up correctly in Windows (Windows98 or Windows2000).  Can
anyone explain this?
