smbmount & folder names non convencionall

Hello;

I type command :

smbmount //estwin/c /mnt

in //estwin/c I have a folder with name in ASCII

159$165
159 = character similar as f
$ = $
165 = Ñ n with ~ spanish

$ and ASCII 165 mount is OK but

ASCII 159 says  :0192$Ñ

and folder is not acessible

my distro is Suse 8.2
kernel  2.4.20-4GB
samba-client-2.2.8a-34
language and LC_TYPE = pt_BR
(Brazilian Portuguese)
