So I thought about this and while Debian Trixie doesn't have Samba
4.23.x yet, Debian Forky does. So I installed Trixie in a VM and
upgraded it to Forky. I then installed Samba as a Unix domain member,
in the same way as I ever have, and then attempted to join it to the
domain with 'net ads join'. This worked exactly as it ever has, the
computer joined the AD domain and a forward dns record, along with the
computer record, was created in AD.
If everything is correct on the new Unix domain member, could the
problem actually be on the DC ?
