As far as I have been able to ascertain, "Buster" was the last release of
Debian for the 32-bit architecture. I had a collection of defunct 32-bit
machines that I decided needed a new lease on life for at least a couple
years, and I am an enthusiast rather than a professional so a 64-bit
machine is not provided to me by an employer.
I appreciate the suggestion that I look into bookworm backports for v4.21.5.
I would still love to get an assessment regarding the test failures,
perhaps someone still running a 32-bit machine will read this and feel like
sharing their knowledge / experience.
Best regards,
