[Samba] Can't get Win7 to mount

As an experiment, I thought I would try mounting from the new linux to the old
linux.  I was able to mount from the old to the new while working on fixing
a bad hdd in the old linux.  That mount worked great.

But, when I tried to go from new to old, it failed:

    mount -t cifs -o username=brown //192.168.1.1/usenet-new /mnt/usenet-new

resulted in:

    Unable to find suitable address.

It asked for the password, but then gave the above error message.
Another clue?
