[Samba] [smb.conf] "hosts allow" → "Network Error. Windows cannot access \\SERVER"

Hello
For some reason, restricting use by adding "host name" prevents even the
authorized host from accesssing Samba. Access is recovered by commenting
that line and restarting smbd. What's wrong with that line?
