That is good to hear, and interesting. I would have expected it to make 
some difference but not completely fix the problem (given that Samba is 
necessarily slow outside the key/value layer).

My understanding is this was fixed upstream in the Linux kernel 
somewhere around commit b73a6fd1b1efd799c6e3d14a922887f4453fea17 (~ 
March 2023). I might be wrong, and I have no clue whether or when this 
will end up in stable/distro kernels.
