[Samba] help with chrony time synchronisation

Hello,

We ran into the same issue while upgrading our Samba version, and after troubleshooting for a day, I eventually found this thread.

The workaround with the registry modification works, and I'd like to share our findings as well.

We are running Samba 4.23.3-SerNet-7debian13 on Debian Trixie, with Chrony 4.6.1.

We have not yet performed the functional level upgrade (only the preparation steps so far).
Forest functional level: Windows 2008 R2
Domain functional level: Windows 2008 R2
Lowest DC functional level: Windows 2016

Chrony is properly configured and the services are running. Linux clients are unaffected. There is no firewall blocking NTP communication.

When checking the connected clients, I can see the list of Windows clients that are attempting to request time ("chronyc clients").
After enabling w32tm debug logging, it appears that the NTP server never responds to the client.
