I hope that 'AD member' is another Samba AD DC and not a Unix domain
member, also every 15 minutes is a bit over the top, you only need to
do it after changes, also are you syncing idmap.ldb ?

Bit confused here, it sounds like your 'AD-Member' is a Unix domain
member and they don't have a sysvol share.
