I think what you are saying is that if you classic upgrade an NT4-style
domain then Windows 24H2 uses the NetBIOS domain name for the DNS/REALM
name.
Also when a computer is joined it doesn't get the above attributes
populated.

I will go and look at the relevant code and get back to you.
