I would not be surprised, the fileserver code is in /source3 whereas the 
DC code (and its file-sharing subset) are in /source4...
I would think (i.e. not verified) that unix extensions for smb3 (as they 
belong to the file server) have landed in /source3. As you can see in 
the log, your code failed in /source4.
