fwiw, building a Samba *fileserver* with system MIT krb5 is perfectly 
fine and --with-system-mitkrb5 is the knob to enable this.

The knob for an AD DC is different:

--with-experimental-mit-ad-dc

...and from the name it should be clear that this is indeed an 
experimental option.
