On the face of it, they are given read/write permissions, but this will 
depend on how Samba is being run, what filesystem is being used and what 
permissions are set on /pools/users/homes/kvmabc--ncu2. It is also 
interesting that different permissions are set in the shares smb.conf 
fragment and the mount command.

All in all, it looks a mess, it appears (though I could be wrong) that 
the OP is trying to use one share as a 'home' share for multiple users.

To be able to fully comment on this, we need to see the full smb.conf.
Why do people think that posting a share is enough ?
