Sorry to be an idiot on this ... the --help info gave:

samba-tool dns delete <server> <zone> <name> <A|AAAA|PTR|CNAME|NS|MX|SRV|TXT> <data>

I'm not sure what the <zone> or <name> are supposed to be.

So far:

samba-tool dns delete dc1 <zone?> <name?> A 192.168.0.2

I hesitate to just try things.
