There were no 4.17.1 in backports. The first 4.17 which I uploaded to backports was
4.17.3+dfsg-1~bpo11+1 - 4.17.3, not 4.17.1. Previous backport was 4.16.6+dfsg-5~bpo11+1.

Please note you're running 4.17.3, not 4.17.1 here.

This needs to be debugged further, with gdb and a stack trace, I think.
I for one don't have an arm box to experiment with.
Can anyone help with this one?
FWIW, maybe this is another 32bit issue which ought to be quite a few?
