Lets start again :-)

You have a Samba AD DC running on Ubuntu 18.04
You want to integrate a Samba standalone server running Samba 4.x.x
into AD as a Unix domain member.

Is the above correct ?
If it is, can you please tells us what OS the fileserver is running on
and the version of Samba it is running.

Your main problem will be that your users & groups on the fileserver
will have different IDs to what is easily set on the Unix domain
member.
