[Samba] CIFS, SMB2 backport to 3.0.35 kernel

Hi,

I am planning to backport cifs to get SMB2 support on kernel 3.0.35.

I see cifs backports from the link below which is till 4.9 kernel but I
need to backport to 3.0.35 and my requirement is only for SMB2 to mount
directories from Windows 10.

Wanted to know where to start and what should be the approach. Has anyone
already done this? Is this a huge task to get SMB2 support in 3.0.35 kernel?
