I'm installing some linux clients using an italian distribution, that is a
modification of Mint ulyssa, that is also a modification of Ubuntu focal, so
samba 4.13.17~dfsg-0ubuntu0.21.04.2.

On the server i've 4.10.18+dfsg-0.1stretch1.

I've setup pam_mount to mount homes, and the mount succeded, the login
session start, the desktop open but misses some panel, some other try to
start but close immediatley after.

In .xsession.error is full of:

(mate-panel:2569): dconf-WARNING **: 13:17:12.519: failed to commit changes to dconf: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._g_2dfile_2derror_2dquark.Code2: Failed to rename file ???/home/gaio/.config/dconf/user.067VM1??? to ???/home/gaio/.config/dconf/user???: g_rename() failed: Permission denied

and in /var/run i've some vary strange folder:

root at synergy:~# ls -la /run/user/10000/
ls: impossibile accedere a '/run/user/10000/doc': Permesso negato
ls: impossibile accedere a '/run/user/10000/gvfs': Permesso negato

 drwx------ 2 gaio sir 80 mag 31 13:14 pulse
 drwxr-xr-x 3 gaio sir 100 mag 31 13:14 systemd

A precedent setup, done on Mint 'sonya' (Ubuntu xenial) worked flawlessy
(with the same server part).

I suspect i've to workaround some mount or share options, but really i don't
know what...

Thanks.
