I take it this is a Samba AD DC, so are you using the method on the
link I posted (or something similar) ? If so, have a look in
/var/log/syslog

It sounds like you need to stop your Windows clients from trying to
update their own dns records, you can do this on each Windows client,
or by using a GPO.

PS, what email client do you use ? So I can avoid it, it is terrible :-

Yes this is a Samba AD DC.  Would I just need to disable the "Register this connection's address in DNS" in the windows network settings?  
I'm using Yahoo's webmail.  :)  Not sure if there's a setting I'm missing in there as well.
