AFAIK this come from Kerberos, not Samba.

Newer samba have policy (GPO) support added in this area; Could be that
some new fearure was added in new packages, Louis?

Paolo, could be you have changed/set/unset some policy (GPO) recently?
Could be you have set 'manually' some local policy with:
	samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --max-pwd-age=XX


AFAIK there's no info on AD data for password expiration, only last
password change; in policy you can set the duration/age of a password,
and expiration date is computed.
