I've not 'correlated' the two things, until now.

I've had a DC 'offline': it was a remote site, and the network link was
down. It was down by sunday.

Yesterday afternoon the link finally come back, and...
'NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED' error desappered.
Clearly, the DC that was down was another DC, not 'ldap://vdcpp1.ad.fvg.lnf.it'
... ;-)
